GRAPE OIL
Grape Oil Vitis vinifera is obtained by cold pressing grape seeds, from the same plant that produces wine. It is a by-product of the wine industry and has been used in food, traditional medicine and cosmetics for centuries.
TRADITIONAL USES
Historically, grape oil has had different uses depending on the region. In the Mediterranean and across Europe it has been used since antiquity as a skin treatment for softening and moisturising capacity. In traditional medicine, grape oil was used to relieve mild inflammation and wounds, as well as to improve circulation, nourish the scalp and strengthen the hair. In Asia it was used by blending vegetable oils for hair and body treatments, thanks to its soothing and antioxidant effect.
